No Warning about Failed Get?
« on: March 27, 2012, 09:12:49 PM »
I've been trying out WebDriver, so far sticking to the HtmlUnit
driver.  One of the things I've noticed is that if I have a test that
issues a get then asserts based on the page title, and I fail to
startup the server, the page title assertion fails (e.g. expected "My
 Website", but got "").
It seems like more explicit detection of "Whoops, I couldn't even
connect to the server" would be more direct and useful; it seems
likely that could be implemented in all driver implementations.

Hi Geoffrey,
That's an interesting idea. It's not on my todo list right now, but
I'd be happy to look at (and apply :) patches that provide this
 ability.

Regards,

Simon
